The election of the Rt Revd Michael Burrows, Bishop of Cashel, Ferns & Ossory, to the newly united see of Tuam, Limerick & Killaloe came as a surprise to many. Doubtless it will be a source of joy to the clergy and people of his new diocese while for those is Cashel, Ferns & Ossory there will be that curious mixture of excitement and apprehension as they await the election of a new bishop.
