The report of the Commission for Christian Unity and Dialogue was presented to General Synod in Derry/Londonderry this morning. The report highlights in detail the work of the CCUD and their involvement with numerous ecumenical instruments along with European affairs.
Proposing the report, Bishop Kenneth Kearon (Limerick and Killaloe) said that ecumenism, reconciliation among Christians, was vitally important because Christians can’t preach a gospel of reconciliation to the world effectively if they themselves are divided.
