In his sermon on the Sunday morning of our Conference, the Lay Leader, Dr Fergus O’Ferrall, asked us to be correctly motivated as we try to deal with our Church in a time of crisis in the western world. He concluded that:
‘We are called to be “disciples shaped by and for mission to transform the world”: a people of “warm hearts”, who have deeply and radically experienced the love of Jesus Christ; a people of “tough hands”, who have the very marks of mission on our bodies; a people of “wet feet”, who have stepped out into cold secular waters…
