The first full day of the representative session of this year’s Methodist Conference might best be described as ‘meaty’. From the challenge of the opening Bible study – delivered by the Rev David Bruce, Secretary of the Council for Mission of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland – to the late afternoon presentation on charity regulation, members were given so much to chew on, it is hard to pick out a ‘main course’.
This said, one significant item of business certainly looks set to have a clear impact on the shape of things to come. This was the green light…
