Along with the leaders from the other main churches, the Methodist President, the Rev Brian Anderson, attended a ceremony at Grangegorman Military Cemetery, Dublin.
The event, organised by the Irish Republic’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Charlie Flanagan, marked the 125 British soldiers who died during the Easter Rising.
