Sky TV Gospel Channel programme filmed at Lisburn

One of Lisburn’s oldest and most historic buildings, Lisburn CWU Mission Hall, hosted a special television programme on Saturday evening when ‘Country Gospel Time’ was recorded in the Hall.

The Mission Hall in Market Street, built in 1772, was the first Methodist Chapel in Lisburn and the founder of Methodism John Wesley. preached there in 1789.

‘Country Gospel Time’ is produced regularly in Lurgan and features Northern Irish artists.

It began in April last year and the pilot programme was picked up by Icelandic TV.

Today it is broadcast around 52 countries worldwide and can be viewed on Sundays at 5.30pm, Monday 10.30am, Wednesday 10.00pm and Friday at 1.00am.

The schedule requires pre-recording three or four months in advance and the aim of the programme is to reach people with the Gospel.
