General Synod Receives World Council of Churches’ Arusha Call to Discipleship

The General Synod of the Church of Ireland today formally received the World Council of Churches’ Arusha Call to Discipleship.

The motion from the Council for Mission was proposed by the Revd Adam Pullen who spoke of representing the Church of Ireland at the World Council of Churches conference on world mission and evangelism in Arusha, Tanzania. The Arusha Call to Discipleship arose out of the dialogue and discussion at the conference and is offered to member churches for consideration and action.
