Clerical – Incumbent, Kilgariffe Union of Parishes (Cork, Cloyne & Ross)

Kilgariffe Union is centred on the thriving West Cork coastal town of Clonakilty approximately 50 kilometres west of Cork City. The parish is predominantly rural; a large number (but not all) of the parishioners are engaged mainly in farming, and agri–business related industries.

A priest is required who will build on existing:

  • strong pastoral relationships
  • a vibrant parish life
  • active lay involvement in ministry
  • partnership with a people committed to their community, faith development and spiritual growth

There are four churches – Kilgariffe Parish Church; Church of the Ascension, Timoleague; All Saints, Kilmalooda; and Saint John the Evangelist, Courtmacsherry (which is open only in the summer months).

It is a lively and growing parish with 206 adults on the Register of Vestrypersons. There is a two–teacher Parish school.

The rectory is a purpose–built modern building in its own grounds in rural surroundings on the outskirts of Clonakilty, 50 km from Cork city.
