Ireland to hold same-sex marriage referendum

Ireland is preparing to hold an historic referendum on legalising same-sex marriage.

On 22 May citizens will be asked whether or not people should be allow to marry, regardless of their gender.

If it passes, Ireland will become the 18th country in the world to legalise same-sex unions.
