Church of Ireland Historical Society Meets in Armagh
The next meeting of the Church of Ireland Historical Society will be held in the Armagh Public Library (Robinson Library) on Saturday 25 April 2015 beginning with coffee and registration at 10.30am

In the morning session Dr Immo Warntjes, from the medieval history department in Queen’s University, Belfast, will discuss ‘The Irish Easter controversy of the seventh century’ and this will be followed by a research paper, entitled ‘The Most Impudent Falsehood in Irish History’ by Jamie Blake–Knox who has recently completed a Ph D in Trinity College, Dublin. After lunch Professor Padraig O Riain, who has retired from the Chair of Early and Medieval History in UCC, will talk on William Reeves and the Irish Literature movement. The day will conclude with a lecture by Dr Ida Milne, who holds a Marie Curie Fellowship, on ‘The Quiet Comeback: Rural Irish Protestants and the GAA’.
