The Church of Ireland is seeking to appoint an Assistant Press Officer.
Based in central Belfast, this full–time post is mainly office–based and the post–holder will report to the Church of Ireland Press Officer.
The role involves assisting the Press Officer with a wide range of duties including responding to media and general enquiries, news monitoring, web editing and content creation, developing and delivering web and social media communications, together with PR and administrative duties.
The successful applicant will have either a third–level qualification in a communications or other relevant discipline, or three years’ relevant work experience.
The role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills. An appropriate range of IT skills, encompassing a good knowledge of contemporary communications technologies including social media, will be essential. Proficiency in photography and video–making and editing will be desirable.
