CLERGY AND READERS QUIET DAY

The clergy and readers, both diocesan and parish, converged on Achill Island on a very snowey 3rd March morning for our annual Quiet Day.

After a welcome cuppa in Gray’s Guest House, all decamped to Saint Thomas’ Church for our opening eucharist celebrated by Bishop Rooke. During the liturgy two new Parish Readers were commissioned; Maeve Carole Reynolds for Omey.

Q3

After the service, Bishop Ken Clarke led the first of his two reflections on the theme of ‘ Green Pastures and Still Waters’ with lunch at Grays serving as ‘half time’.

Q4

Coffee in the guest house completed the day during which we thanked the staff of Gray most heartily for their tremendous welcome and hospitality.
