Global Vision in the North West took place in Omagh Methodist Church and was attended by a large number of people from the Lakelands and NW Districts – many of whom were obliged to brave sub-zero temperatures and an unexpected blanket of snow en route to the County Tyrone venue. The keynote speaker was Home Mission Secretary the Rev Dr Heather Morris who reminded everyone that mission is mission regardless of where it takes place.
Dr Morris assured everyone that God delights to use ordinary people, and as people hear God’s call they must not just have a stirring of heart but must also be prepared to get involved. Her final word was to those who use the excuse of limited resources as a hindrance to mission. She challenged participants to use what resources they have for the sake of Christ because we serve a God who is able to do much more than they could ever imagine.
