The Church of Ireland wishes to appoint an administrative officer to support the work of its governing body, the General Synod, and related bodies. The person appointed will be based in Church of Ireland House, Dublin and will work at a managerial level reporting to the Head of Synod Services and Communications.

The position will suit an individual with a background in providing administrative services at a level of significant responsibility. The successful candidate will be accustomed to working proactively to deadlines whilst maintaining a methodical and accurate approach. The ability to work as part of a team will be essential, as will strong organisational skills, verbal and written communication skills and an appropriate range of computer skills.

The role involves engagement in a wide and varied range of activity. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability rapidly to absorb complex information and evaluate its meaning and relevance, and will have experience of preparing formal documentation/reports as well as organising and supporting formal meetings/conferences.
