Children’s voices sing out in St Patrick’s after six–month absence

On Tuesday 15th September, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, resounded to the strains of children’s voices for the first time in six months, as the boy choristers joined ranks with the Lay Vicars for the Choral Office of Evensong, marking a return to worship with the full choir, in a Covid–secure environment.

It is planned that the choristers will sing Matins at 9.00 am on Tuesday and Thursday each week during term time, and that, while the Lay Vicars sing Evensong on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 5.30 pm, the choristers will join them on Tuesday and Thursday, as…
