Armagh Diocesan Synod 2019

The Archbishop of Armagh and Primate of All Ireland, the Most Revd Dr Richard Clarke, announced his intention to retire in the course of his Presidential Address to the Armagh Diocesan Synod on Saturday, 2nd November, in the Crozier Hall, at St Mark’s Parish Church, Armagh.
Archbishop Clarke will continue to carry out all the duties and responsibilities of the Archbishop of Armagh and Primate until 2nd February 2020. After that date, the Church of Ireland House of Bishops will consider the selection of a successor. Archbishop Clarke addressing Armagh Diocesan Synod.
