Shankill Parish Lurgan is holding a Christmas Tree Festival in the Parish Church from Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th December. Exploring the theme ‘Jesus Is …’, the festival will display around 75 Christmas trees – real, artificial and sculpted, all interpreting an aspect of the person of Jesus through Scripture and also through the well–known words of some Christmas carols and hymns. The trees will be decorated by a range of groups from within the parish and local community, and also by a number of individuals.
