The Rector of Faughanvale, the Revd Canon Paul Hoey, has completed a 12–hour ‘Organ Marathon’ to raise funds for a new church hall. Canon Hoey played non–stop in St Canice’s Church in Eglinton from 9am–9pm on Saturday.
Members of the Select Vestry and parishioners joined him at various points throughout the day to offer encouragement. Among them were people from the all the main Christian denominations. Visitors were asked to make a cash donation in return for a hymn request being played.
