Statement regarding Newry bonfire

A statement from the Rt Revd Harold Miller, Bishop of Down and Dromore:

‘I was deeply saddened by the message posted recently on a bonfire in Newry with regard to Willie Frazer. It was personalised, shocking and inhumane. I know it does not represent the ordinary people of Newry, whom I have experienced as warm, kind, and keen to move in a direction of reconciliation and peace.
