Bishop Pat Storey, the Church of Ireland Bishop of Meath and Kildare, has welcomed the appointment of Canon Thomas Deenihan as the new Roman Catholic Bishop of Meath.
She said: “I congratulate Canon Deenihan on his appointment. He will find a warm welcome, not least from the Church of Ireland community, as he begins his new ministry in Meath. It is evident that he brings great experience to his new role.”
