Service of Thanksgiving for 20 years of Abaana’s work

Lisburn Cathedral was packed on Sunday evening, June 10, for a celebration of the 20th anniversary of local charity Abaana Ministries.

Over the last five years, the Cathedral has developed close links with Abaana, sponsoring several Ugandan children, and earlier this year a joint CMSI/Abaana team travelled to Uganda to visit a range of Abaana projects and then moved on to Arua, close to the border with South Sudan, where they worked with Bishop Hilary of Yei and the Church of South Sudan.
