Three teams representing Connor Mothers’ Union took part in the Belfast Marathon on May 7 to raise funds for Mums In May, supporting people in Democratic Republic of Congo.
Five members of the Mothers’ Union in mid and north Connor undertook the eight–mile marathon walk, while two teams from north Connor consisting of not just Mothers’ Union members but also their friends and family (including three men!) participated in the team relay walk. Each one was walking ‘In Mary Sumner’s footsteps,’ the Mothers’ Union theme for 2018.
