A prayer for the farming community at a time of crisis

The escalating fodder crisis and its devastating impact on farmers and their livestock has affected many in Dublin & Glendalough and throughout Ireland.

The persistent cold and wet weather has made farming conditions exceptionally difficult. Last year’s cold and wet summer meant poor grass growth and the very late start to spring this year has seen many run out of fodder to feed their cattle. The recent snow and heavy rainfall have only served to exacerbate an already bad situation.
