CARE Concerned that Abortion ‘Hardship Grants’ are Available to Minors Without Parental Consent

CARE’s concerns that government plans to offer abortion ‘hardship grants’ to under 16’s without parental consent were profiled on the front page of the Belfast Newsletter. 

It was revealed that the government’s plans to offer Northern Irish women abortions free of charge in England includes to children under the age of 16. The children would have their travel and accommodation costs paid for as well as the free abortion.
