Bark the Herald Angels Sing – Peata Therapy Dog carol service

Dogs of all breeds and sizes were barking around the Christmas tree in Christ Church Cathedral yesterday (Tuesday December 12) for the annual Peata Therapy Dog carol service. A record number of dogs and their owners, along with people in caring facilities who enjoy visits from Peata dogs, filled the cathedral for the wonderful service.

The Peata service has been organised for the last 15 years by Lesley Rue. It was led by Dean Dermot Dunne and sung by the girl choristers. The Dean, who blessed the dogs during the service, said the day focused on giving thanks for creation…
